May 19: Singer Kim Zolciak of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" is 33 years-old today.

Kimberleigh Marie "Kim" Zolciak is an American reality television personality known for her participation on the Bravo series The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

Kim was born in Pensacola, Florida and grew up in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. She graduated from East Catholic High School in Manchester, Connecticut, in 1996, and was a 1999 graduate of the University of Connecticut. That same year, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia. She is a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Starting on October 7, 2008, Zolciak has been seen on the reality television series The Real Housewives of Atlanta, airing on Bravo. Originally, the show was to only include five African American women, but after the producers met Zolciak they were so impressed they gave her a spot on the show. It is Bravo's most successful television program and has the highest ratings out of the 'Real Housewives' series.

The show has become a key factor in Zolciak promoting herself.

Tardy for the Party - THE REMIXES

Zolciak started out on the show working on her debut country music album. In 2009, however, Zolciak released her debut single, "Tardy for the Party." She has promoted the single by going on a small club tour, as well as making her live television debut of the song on The Wendy Williams Show and also performing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

She also performed the song at the White Party 2010, a Palm Springs Circuit Party, alongside artists such as Ke$ha.  Zolciak describes the album as a dance album, similar to its lead single. In 2010, a remix EP was released by Zolciak, featuring remixes of "Tardy for the Party." All of the remixes were produced by DJ Tracy Young.

From the debut episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Kim and other castmates have repeatedly referred to Zolciak's married beau, referred to as "Big Papa," and his financial support of Kim. For example, Kim's opening montage at the start of each show addresses the popular view of Kim and "Papa"'s arrangement: "People say I'm a golddigger but they just want what I have."
